WHAT IS THE ISSUE?
Families in Syria are in danger when put between the crossfire of the civil war. They lose their homes, loved ones, freedom, and safety. Many have chosen to flee the country looking for a safe-haven, and Canada has willingly let in many refugees to give them a new fresh start. The chance to be introduced to a new lifestyle, and overcome the trauma they have experienced. It is an opportunity to start over and reach their full potential with all the possible resources available at their hands.
HOW CAN I HELP?
Our group has partnered with an organization called The Sayeda Khadija Centre that is working hard to help Syrian refugees in the transition from Syria to Canada. Through the organization, you have the ability to donate money, clothes or even volunteer at the centre to lend a helping hand. Any contributions are generously accepted. In addition, bringing awareness of this issue to others around you can to a tremendous feat. Share this website with friends and family and spread the word about the Syrian refugees.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to raise $200 by April 8, 2016 to donate towards this cause, and collect as much clothes as possible for the Syrian refugees. But the main goal is to raise awareness about this issue and educate more people about this topic. It’s our obligation as global citizens to help the people in need, and people whose rights were taken away from them. We must do our part as global citizens.
OUR VISION
